INFO GADGET - BlackBerry has introduced the Q5 series phones aimed at the lower middle market. BlackBerry Q5 is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and is available in a choice of colors: red, black, white, and pink. 3.1-inch screen on the BlackBerry Q5 supports finger touch navigation. However, the Q5 is not equipped with a trackpad like older BlackBerry phone models.
Although priced at a bargain price, the Q5 has similar features to the Z10 because both use the same operating system, BlackBerry 10.
BlackBerry CEO, Thorsten Heins, confident phone with QWERTY keyboard design will be sold in developing countries. "I am sure, it will be sold at all," said Heins at BlackBerry Live 2013 conference in Orlando, U.S., on Tuesday (14/05/2013),
BlackBerry parties claimed features and applications running on the Q5 can work smoothly.
Just like the Z10, the instant messaging service BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) in Q5 mobile phone also supports video communication BBM Video and Screen Share which allows users to share a virtual phone screen with other users.
Q5 also has the same features with the Z10 from the camera. Both have the same features Time Shift that works like a time machine to restore and promote a few milliseconds frames photo captured. There are also applications Story Maker to edit video from phones based on BlackBerry 10.
With BlackBerry Hub, users can see all the messages Q5 and notification communication services in one space. BlackBerry Hubs constitute a box incoming and a notification integrated for service SMS, email, social networking such as Facebook, Twitter until LinkedIn.
Mobile phone with 3.1-inch wide screen will go on sale in July, including to the Asia Pacific region. However, this Canadian company has not revealed pricing information BlackBerry Q5.
